The 8,000-seat multi-use stadium opened in 2002 and is the home turf for the West Des Moines Valley Tigers sports teams, as well as a venue for marching band competition, outdoor concerts, regional and state field events, and numerous city of West Des Moines Parks and Recreation Department programs. The Des Moines Menace soccer team, a Premier Development League team focusin on training and advancing amateur soccer players to professional leagues, also plays its home games at Valley Stadium.
