TriOak Foods began operations in 1951 as Oakville Feed & Produce, selling feed supplements to local farms and purchasing their eggs and milk for resale to grocery merchants. The produce operation was phased out early on as the company turned to grain elevator and fertilizer operations. In the 1980s, the company expanded its operations once again to become a contract pork producer, which remains the driving force of the company. TriOak strives to produce the highest quality pork for the retail consumer, using selective genetics and breeding stock, along with balancing its stock s nutrition with its Identity Preserved corn. The company s grain group operates five elevators in southeast Iowa that handle corn and soybeans, along with its Identity Preserved corn that is processed into feed for the pork operations. TriOak Foods is headquartered in Oakville, Iowa.
