The Open and Affirming Coalition of the United Church of Christ is a dedicated advocate for the LGBTQ community, striving for acceptance and justice. With over 51 years of advocacy, they work to ensure that LGBTQ individuals and their families feel welcome and safe in their churches and communities. Through their resources, events, and partnerships, they equip UCC congregations to become effective witnesses to Christ's extravagant welcome.
Rev. Dr. Katrina Roseboro-Marsh, the first Black female Executive Director in the Coalition's history, leads the organization in its mission to bring about radical change and support for LGBTQIA people. The Coalition relies on donations from individuals and churches to continue their work as a separate 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Their newsletter, RIPPLES, keeps ONA congregations connected and informed about the latest news, resources, and opportunities for ministry, witness, and advocacy.
