Founded in 1925 by regionalist artist Grant Wood, TCR is located in the historic Iowa Theater Building in the heart of downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Just prior to the disastrous midwestern Flood of 2008, which displaced TCR from its home, the organization announced

TCR is the best venue in the Midwest. Every show in every season for decades has been a must see. Whether it is the main stage or the Grandon Theater, you really can't ask for a better event.
