The Sioux City Journal, a subsidiary of Lee Enterprises, is a daily newspaper serving northwestern Iowa and northeastern Nebraska. The newspaper reports local news, sports and entertainment news, as well as offers space for obituaries and classified advertising. It has a daily circulation of more than 43,000 and a Sunday circulation of nearly 42,000. Lee Enterprises publishes nearly 60 daily newspapers and more than 300 weekly newspapers. In addition, Lee publishes several specialty publications in nearly 25 states. Lee Enterprises was founded in 1890 and is headquartered in Davenport, Iowa.
