History
Security State Bank (SSB) is one of the oldest banks in Iowa. On July 1, 1884 the Bank of Radcliffe was the first Bank to be established in Radcliffe, Iowa. In 1914, the bank was incorporated and the name was changed to Security State Bank. We are proud to be celebrating over 135 years of community service to the Hardin, Hamilton, and Story County areas. In 2004, we opened a branch office in Story City, Iowa, thus expanding our market area to meet the needs of our customers. In 2014, Security State Bank of Radcliffe finalized the purchase of Security State Bank of Hubbard, which also had an existing branch location in Zearing, Iowa. Today, we are proud to serve thousands of customers in and around the communities in which we are located.
