History
Our print shop started in here in Des Moines, Iowa in a home studio and has since moved into a community art building at Mainframe Studios. One of our main focuses as a print shop is to not only to share our love for letterpress printing and provide great print and design services but to also share some of the amazing history and preservation of our craft.
Specialties
The Red Door Press is a letterpress print and design shop. We specialize in traditional letterpress printing mixing with modern printmaking. We offer posters/broadsides, social stationery, business branding, custom art prints, printing demos and workshops and more. You can find our shop popping up at a local market, come do a workshop or tour with us at the new space or your local institution, or talk with us about some great letterpress work to have printed. Hours for shop are by appointment and workshops/pop-up events will have special hours. Please contact us for an appointment or quote for your letterpress requests. We do not offer digital printing services
