North High School
North High School serves the educational needs of more than 1,500 students in grades nine through 12. It is approved by the Iowa Department of Education and the North Central Association of Secondary Schools And Colleges. Its academic programs include art, business, consumer science, English, English as a second language, fine arts, foreign language, industrial technology, math, physical education, science and social studies. It has an academic enhancement center and provides a special program for hearing-impaired students. Its offers sports activities, including cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, soccer, swimming, tennis, basketball, volleyball, wrestling and softball. It has jazz and marching bands, choir, dance squad, drama group and orchestra. It has various clubs, including spirit, multicultural and the National Honor Society. North High School is operated by Des Moines Schools, and is located in Sioux City, Iowa.
