Founded in 1987, Cedar Rapids School District provides a wide range of educational services and learning opportunities to the communities based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The district offers prekindergarten through grade 12 programs, and serves more than 17,000 students in its elementary, middle schools and high schools. It offers a wide range of subjects in its curriculum, including English, math, science, history, social science, world languages, visual and performing arts, agriculture, vocational and physical education, and elective options. The district has a food services department that provides students and staff with daily nutritional meals for lunch and also participates in the national School Breakfast Program.
