Founded in 1881, Drake University is one of the largest, private, coeducational, independent schools in Iowa. The university offers more than 70 undergraduate programs in over five colleges and schools. It also provides graduate programs in business education and law. Drake University has chemistry and chess clubs. The university supports the Chinese Student Association.
