Marzetti Frozen Pasta offers food service products in a variety of portion-control sizes, as well as bulk packaging for the restaurant industry. It produces and distributes dressings and sauces; croutons; hearth-baked breads; precooked egg noodles and pasta; sour cream; dips; frozen pies and caviar. The company was founded in 1896, when young Teresa Marzetti arrived in the United States from Florence, Italy, and started a small Italian restaurant in Columbus, Ohio. In 1972 the restaurant closed but her many salad dressings and other specialty food products were still produced. As The Specialty Food Group of Lancaster Colony Corporation, Marzetti has plants throughout the U.S. that manufacture an expanded family of food products.
