Lone Tree Fire & Rescue is an all-volunteer department serving the town of Lone Tree, Iowa and the surrounding rural townships of Lincoln, Fremont, and Pleasant Valley in Johnson County. With a team of 28 trained firefighters, first responders, and EMTs, they provide fire and EMS services at an EMT-B level, certified in Haz-Mat operations and equipped with additional expertise in various rescue techniques.
Established in 1907, Lone Tree Fire & Rescue is an active member of the Johnson County Mutual Aid Association, offering assistance to neighboring departments. They are also contracted with the Duane Arnold Energy Center to provide radiation monitoring personnel in the event of an evacuation. With regular training sessions and a commitment to NIMS compliance, Lone Tree Fire & Rescue welcomes visitors and offers tours of their fire station, as well as presentations on emergency medical fire safety issues.
