Kate Tripp, PA-C joined The Iowa Clinic due to their ability to provide multi-specialty care and for their reputation for outstanding patient care. Before coming to The Iowa Clinic, Kate worked for Primary Health Care, Inc, a non-profit community health center. This opportunity allowed her to work with some of the most vulnerable populations to improve their general health. She was also able to provide care in non-traditional settings including school-based clinics as well as adult and children's homeless shelters. Her friends and family would consider her compassionate. Annually she hosts a holiday party for family and friends where the request from attendees is to bring items for donation. After the party, they distribute the items through Central Iowa Shelter and Services as well as Primary Health Care, inc. for individuals in Central Iowa who are experiencing homelessness or other hardships. She made the switch to Urology because practicing in a specialty allows you to have increased proficiency in one area of medicine, thus being able to provide more thorough care. Urology also allows for her to treat a variety of conditions, expand her own skills as a provider, and provide care in both the clinic and hospital setting.
