Simpson College
Simpson College was founded in 1860 by members of the Iowa United Methodist Church. Located in Indianola, the college has additional facilities in West Des Moines and Ankeny, Iowa. It is an independent, coeducational liberal arts college spread over a more than 75-acre campus. Simpson College offers more than 1,900 undergraduate and graduate students a range of majors, including accounting, art, biology, criminal justice, elementary education, music, journalism and religion. It provides extracurricular activities, such as newspaper, yearbook, radio, intercollegiate and intramural sports, Greek life, departmental activities, honor and professional groups, music, drama, religion and other interest groups. The college s athletic programs include baseball, basketball, cross-country, football, golf, soccer, tennis, wrestling, and track and field. Simpson College is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, and is member of the North Central Association.
