The Cushing Fire and Rescue squad, established in 1895, is a dedicated community organization in Cushing, IA. With 21 all-volunteer trained firefighters and EMTs, they provide essential services to the community, covering an area of roughly 50 sq. miles and offering mutual aid to neighboring areas. Committed to their mission, they conduct regular training meetings and attend regional fire schools for advanced training.
In addition to their firefighting services, the Cushing Fire Department also operates an ambulance squad staffed with 6 trained EMTs. Supported by donations and tax dollars, they are deeply appreciative of the community's contributions. Their station, which can be rented for private or public functions, includes a meeting room with kitchen facilities. For scheduling and rates, contact Captain Shawn Joy.
