History
The YMCA's global mission--to build healthy spirit, mind and body for all--has been actively engaged in Central Indiana since 1854, 165 years! The breadth of service and impact is unmatched by many nonprofits. Currently the 19th largest association in the nation, the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis boasts 12 YMCA centers, a beautiful 240-acre overnight camp, and Youth Development and Intercollegiate branches. In collaboration with hundreds of schools, churches, community groups and organizations, the YMCA brings people of all faiths and backgrounds together for health, wellness, sports, aquatics, camps and educational programs and events to achieve its mission.
Specialties
We're a gym, but we're also a charity. We're about families, but we're also about singles, college students, new couples and empty-nesters. Above all, we're about community. We do Camp, Swim, Fitness, Sports, Healthy Living, Wellness, Chronic Disease Prevention, Personal Training, Group Training, Yoga/Cycling Studios, Group Exercise, Before & After School Care and Social Responsibility.
