The Valparaiso Inn, located at 301 Washington Street, is Valparaiso’s only Downtown B&B. It is conveniently located in the Historic Washington Street District, and just a short three block walk from historic Lincolnway, restaurants, shops, boutiques, theaters, Central Park, the Urschell Pavilion, and less than a mile from Valparaiso University. Originally constructed in 1885, it was home for Dr. Horace Evans, Valparaiso University’s President from 1923 -1926. It is recognized as one of Valparaiso’s most significant, storied, and historic structures. It has just undergone a painstaking four year, whole-house restoration. Each of the five guest suites was brought back to its original grandeur, appointed and furnished with exquisite period antiques and a luxurious en-suite bathroom. Luxurious linens and bedding, plush towels, and apothecary are provided. In the morning a multi-course gourmet breakfast with fresh baked muffins and breads is served on stunning china, with crystal and period silver.
