Dr. Tammy Durham-Boring earned her undergraduate degree in biological sciences from Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania. She then earned her medical degree at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. She completed her internship and residency training in internal medicine at Des Moines General Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. During her time there she was chief resident in internal medicine in her last year of residency and earned an excellence in internal medicine honorable distinction award. Dr. Durham-Boring is board certified in internal medicine as well as hospice and palliative care medicine. Before joining Touchpoint Senior Living she had an inpatient hospital and outpatient ambulatory practice in internal medicine at Community Westview Hospital for 14 years. She is involved in caring for the aged population and has been a provider at multiple extended care facilities in Indiana for more than a decade. She is also a certified nursing home medical director through AMDA. She is passionate about providing care for those with terminal or progressive chronic ailments. Dr. Durham-Boring is married and has a daughter and multiple step-children. She enjoys reading, cross-stitching, and spending time with family and friends.
