Founded in 1872, St Mary Catholic Community School is a learning center that provides a variety of educational and recreational options for the social, intellectual, physical and spiritual development of students in pre-kindergarten through grade eight. The school offers various extracurricular activities, such as band, choir, science fairs, field trips and talent shows. It is accredited by the State of Indiana and follows the state and diocesan curricula for all grade levels. St. Mary Catholic Community School provides a variety of athletic activities that include soccer, volleyball, cross-country, basketball, and track and field. It operates a daily student-run broadcast, WSMW. The school has a computer lab, cafeteria, and library and media center. It has a home and school association and is operated by St. Mary Church.
