Southwestern Indiana Mental Health Center, established in 1971, provides mental health services to the citizens of Gibson, Posey, Vanderburgh and Warrick counties in Indiana. The services offered by the center include crisis intervention, case management, 24-hour emergency evaluations, problem assessment, and diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders and substance abuse. It also provides group and recreational therapies, residential treatment programs, addiction recovery, and prevention and treatment services for chemical dependency. The additional services offered by the center include community support, psychiatric services, educational programs, vocational and family counseling, and skill development classes. Southwestern Indiana Mental Health Center is located in Evansville, Ind., and is approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
