Bowen Center
Bowen Center is a private, nonprofit community mental health center licensed by the State of Indiana Division of Mental Health. The center, established in 1961, provides quality mental health services such as psychiatric care, foster care for children, foster care for adults, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder evaluation and treatment, alcohol and drug related services, outpatient counseling and elderly care. The center is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. It is governed by a 15-member volunteer board of directors and has a staff of certified full-time and part-time personnel and volunteers. The center's Web site offers additional resources and information on attention deficit disorders, improving personal conduct and learning, understanding and managing fear, overcoming eating disorders and prevention of youth violence. The center offers its services in Warsaw, Fort Wayne, Huntington, Plymouth, Albion, Columbia City, Wabash, Elkhart and Syracuse, Ind.
