Martin Yale Industries, formerly Schleicher and Company of America, manufactures paper shredders for customers throughout the world. Its products, marketed under the Intimus brand name, include shredders, paper handling equipment and corrugated box converters. Its products are sold through a network of independent dealers located throughout the United States and the world. In business for more than 35 years, Martin Yale Industries began operating in the United States in 1979. In 1998, the company merged with Olympia Business Systems and moved corporate headquarters to Sanford, N.C. Martin Yale Industries has a facility located in Wabash, Ind., where it employs nearly 150 people.
