The National FFA Organization, founded in 1928, is a nonprofit organization that promotes and supports agricultural education throughout the United States. The organization undertakes research studies and offers degree programs in various subjects, including environmental and natural resources, farm business management, food science and technology, plant and animal sciences, agriscience, horticulture, forestry, agrimarketing, and biotechnology and grass management. It also organizes annual conventions, contests, events, fairs and seminars on agricultural issues. The services offered by the organization include career counseling and planning, scholarships, field training and online learning programs. The National FFA Organization has more than 40,000 members and is headquartered in Alexandria, Va., and has offices located in Indianapolis, Kansas City, Mo., and Louisville, Ky.
