Over 50 years ago, my uncle started the concession business. I can remember helping, from a young age, at different county fairs all over Indiana and Illinois. This is where it got in my blood. Doing what it took to keep the customer happy and coming back. When my father heard that Exploration Acres was opening for the first time. He saw the potential of a really big thing. Stepped up and asked if the people will need some good food. And here we are, 10 years later, of serving the same great food. You will also find me located at Columbian park, in early August, at the Colt World Series. Serving those fans since 2015. And lastly, I started catering in 2017. Two graduation open houses under our belt, with a great reception from all. Now located at Hole In One Family Fun on Meijer Dr. I am providing concessions for their customers as well as drive by traffic.
Specialties
One thing that everybody looks forward to when going to the county fair is the food. Most people only get to enjoy an elephant ear or shake up once a year. For a lot of folks, the food is what keeps them going to the fair year after year. We are able to give our customers that experience at an unexpected time, in the fall.
