Founded in 1951, Moran Elementary School offers a range of educational programs to more than 440 students in kindergarten through grade five. It employs over 20 staff members, including teachers, custodians and program assistants. Its syllabus includes English, mathematics, science, social studies, language arts and music. The school offers physical education, hearing, and speech and language development programs. It also maintains a library and media center that stocks books and periodicals. The school operates a parent-teacher association that conducts several fundraising events and programs. In addition, it operates a student council, as well as conducts a variety of activities, such as skating parties and field trips. Located in Osceola, Ind., Moran Elementary School is a part of Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation, which governs various elementary, middle and high schools.
