Lost Creek Elementary School, established in 1960 and located in Terre Haute, is governed by the Vigo County School Corporation. It teaches classes from grades kindergarten through five, and enrolls more than 650 students. Its curriculum includes reading recovery, art and music, physical education, special education, social studies, science, math, English, and language arts and technology. The school provides a wide range of programs and activities, including quiz bowl, student council, student mediators, media fair, chess and explorers science clubs, student media helpers, scouts, parent-teacher organization, and athletic activities. Lost Creek Elementary School has a more than 100,000-square-feet area that provides over 40 classrooms, library media center, art and music rooms, fitness center, and playgrounds, and staffs, nurse, physical and occupational therapists.
