History
Lic's, which stands for Lloyd's Ice Cream Shoppes, began in 1950 as one small shoppe where ice cream was made in the back room. In 1986, Lic's added a complete deli concept reminiscent of an old fashioned soda fountain shoppe. Today Lic's makes ice cream & sorbet for 8 shoppes at the Lic's plant in downtown Evansville, Indiana. Lic's bakes bread, cakes and cookies from scratch daily and makes a secret House dressing and spicy-hot chili. Lic's is a locally owned business.
