The Howard County Historical Society's Kokomo campus includes the glorious Seiberling Mansion, the Elliott House, and two adjacent carriage houses. The Seiberling is a massive brick Victorian home built in 1891, during Indiana's gas boom, by industrialist Monroe Seiberling. Through multiple phases of restoration, it has been returned to its former glory and is now home to the county museum. The Elliott House, also a relic of the gas boom era, is maintained as an event facility. Christmas at the Seiberling during the month of December features a beautifully decorated mansion.
