Founded in 1907, Hooverwood Indianapolis Jewish Home is located in Indianapolis. It is a nursing and rehabilitation center that specializes in Alzheimer's disease care. The center is a nonprofit, nonsectarian organization, which is a constituent agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis. Hooverwood Indianapolis Jewish Home offers a wide range of services for adults, including physical, occupational and speech therapy, restorative nursing and independent living programs, rehabilitation, water therapies, and spiritual and therapeutic recreation activities and programs. The center also offers a variety of adult day care services, such as weight monitoring, bathing and grooming assistance, geriatric care services, and socialization activities and outing programs. It conducts evaluation and treatment of their psychiatric illnesses. The center also provides dementia care by trained nursing professionals. Hooverwood Indianapolis Jewish Home is a member of the Indiana Association of Homes and Services for the Aging.
