Indianapolis is an increasingly pedestrian-friendly city, with the famous Cultural Trail linking several downtown districts. Part of the Cultural Trail is the Glick Peace Walk, which is dedicated to 12 luminaries, or individuals who made great contributions to humanity through peaceful means. Most of the Glick Peace Walk runs alongside Walnut Street from Capitol Avenue to Meridian Street, but the luminary dedicated to Martin Luther King Jr. is at the southeast corner of Pennsylvania and Washington Streets while the luminary dedicated to Abraham Lincoln is located at the southwest corner of Washington and Illinois Streets.
