Founded in 1959, Castle Jr. High School serves more than 905 students in grades seven and eight. The school has a staff of over 40 teachers and occupies nearly 45 acres of space. It features a library, cafeteria, nurse's station, gymnasiums, locker rooms and several general purpose classrooms. Castle Jr. High School offers special education programs and hosts basic and advanced classes in math and language arts. The school offers sports activities, such as baseball, basketball, cross-country, football, golf, soccer and swimming. It operates a parent-teacher organization and maintains a visual arts department. Castle Jr. High School is governed by the Warrick County School Corporation, which manages several elementary, middle and high schools.
