History
Athens Arts' Gallery first opened their doors to the public during the Crawfordsville Strawberry Festival 2010. On June 26, 2010 the gallery was opened for good and at that point there were 18 artist's work filling the walls. Since June there have been many changes, including more artists! Athens Arts is a non-profit visual arts facility dedicated to presenting quality exhibitions for local and regional artists working in a variety of media. Athens Arts is officially received by the IRS as a 501(C)3 non-profit organization - retroactive to August 17, 2011. All contributions to Athens Arts are now tax deductible. The gallery originated and continues as a project for the arts through the Crawfordsville Main Street Group and is a recent MCCF and IAC grant recipient.
