Dr. Sprunger was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. He grew up on the northeast side and graduated from North Central High School. He then attended Kalamazoo College in Michigan and received a bachelor of arts in health sciences. He returned home to Indianapolis for medical school and his residency. He attended Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his residency in family medicine at the Community Health Network Family Medicine Residency Program, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Sprunger enjoys forming long-term relationships with his patients. He firmly believes that only through incorporating all aspects of a patient's life—home life, career and medical issues that may arise—can one hope to be truly healthy and live life to the fullest. He and his wife have a Black Lab/German Shepherd mix named Julep. His other interests include spending time outside, boating, fishing, golf, bowling and cooking.
