Waubonsie Valley High School, located in Aurora, Ill., is part of Indian Prairie Community Unit School District. Established in 1975, it offers classes from grades nine through 12 and enrolls more than 3,600 students. Its courses include English, social studies, mathematics, science, physical education, health education, humanities, computer science and a choice of more than 15 electives. Its student government allows participation for all interested students in a wide range of activities, including organizing all major school events, as well as participation on school and community committees, and representation to the school board. It has more than 70 sponsored clubs with active participation in interschool programs, as well as state and national competitive.
