The New Lenox Police Department provides a range of law enforcement services. It operates administration, patrol, community policing and criminal investigation divisions. The department also operates a records division that is responsible for the processing, distribution and retention of police-related documents within the department. The New Lenox Police Department offers patrolling services to protect life and property, uphold individual civil rights, preserve public peace, respond to emergency situations, and enforce criminal and motor vehicle laws. Its patrol division is responsible for enforcing state and municipal laws and regulations. The department operates the Citizen's Police Academy. The New Lenox Police Department conducts investigations for matters related to homicide, burglary, arson, aggravated battery, robbery and criminal sexual assault. It is governed by the Village Of New Lenox in Illinois.
