Village Hall is nestled in the heart of one of Mokena's residential neighborhoods and is an easy drive, walk or bike ride from downtown. The building, an old schoolhouse built in the 1920s, was purchased in 1976 from the school district for village use. Today it houses several departments, including administration, community development and engineering, as well as the mayor's office. The Historical Society, village board, park district, as well as numerous commissions including economic development, planning and zoning and community affairs, all have meetings there.
Village Hall has a drop box at the main entrance for payment of water and refuse bills. The parking lot is free for Village Hall visitors, but Metra commuters must pay to park.
