Grayslake has more than 100 years of rich history, and the growing community allows 23,000 residents to continue to thrive. The village was incorporated in 1895 on Gray's Lake, the body of water off of Lake Street and Route 120. Village staff responds to requests for non-emergency services via the Request4Service computer tracking system. Village Manager Mike Ellis leads the staff, while the village itself is led by the mayor. There are also six village trustees and a village clerk.
