Located in Ullin, Ill., Shawnee Community College is a two-year community college with extension centers in Anna, Cairo, East St. Louis and Metropolis in Illinois. Founded in 1967, it offers more than 50 online classes and a wide variety of academic, associate and bachelor s degree programs. Its academic programs include English, literature, humanities, French, German, American government, history, social science, psychology, microeconomics, sociology, business and accounting. The college offers various extracurricular activities, including athletics, clubs, organizations, events and theater productions. It has an institutionally owned and operated bookstore that provides academic supplies, and new and used textbooks to students. The college offers a wide variety of recreational sports and athletics activities, including baseball, basketball and volleyball.
