Fine Art Photographer Timothy Johnson has been in the photography business for about 30 years. He started as a photographer's assistant and eventually opened his own commercial photography studio in 1983 in Elmhurst, Illinois. He continued working in his studio until his kids were grown and out of college. Mr. Johnson remarked, "The digital revolution made commercial photography so boring. I was like a zombie, taking photos of people in front of white backgrounds." He continued: "My kids were done with school, and my wife was retired and I decided it was time to pursue what I really love."
So he packed up, closed the studio in Elmhurst and moved to LaGrange in 2005. When asked what he enjoyed about the area he responded: "We can walk to all the restaurants, we've tried them all." Mr. Johnson now sells his prints online with the ability to customize the size and frame. Look for Timothy Johnson all over Chicaoland, where he will be present at numerous art fairs and shows.
