History
The Ki-Hara Method of Resistance Stretching is a new and innovative form of bodywork that increases strength and flexibility while improving overall well being. During a session, the client continuously contracts their muscles while the trainer gently pushes them into a stretch. By stretching and strengthening the body dynamically in safe ranges, we keep the muscles and joints safe from injury. The basic premise behind the Ki-Hara Method is the true definition of the word Flexibility - the ability to bend. In Ki-Hara Resistance Stretching we keep muscles strong THROUGHOUT their ranges of motion in order to build elastic muscles, thus not only allowing muscles to lengthen but to properly shorten. This allows the body to fold. The inability to fold is what causes muscle cramping or feeling jammed. When stretched, muscles release toxins and allow for the movement of energy throughout the body. Physical flexibility helps facilitate overall flexibility and health in body and mind.
