Champaign Central High School
Located in Champaign, Ill., Central High School is operated by the Champaign Community Unit School District. Founded in 1870, the high school serves more than 1,300 students in grades nine through 12, and offers a variety of academic and extracurricular activities. Its academic courses include art, business technology, English, family and consumer science, foreign languages, industrial technology, math, music, physical education, science, social studies and special education. The high school provides various athletics activities, such as baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, volleyball and wrestling. It offers various facilities, including an academy of technology and applied science, computer laboratories, communications systems, archives, computer writing center, theatrical and musical productions, peer mentoring, and child development and food laboratories.
