DeKalb County Sheriff s Police is a full-service law enforcement unit that offers nearly five areas of service. The offices divisions are the field operations, corrections division, communications division and the investigation division, which handles most of the criminal and other in-depth investigations. The field operations division is responsible for patrol, civil process and electronic home monitoring. DeKalb County Sheriff s Police corrections division is responsible for the operation of the county jail, prisoner transport and courthouse security. DeKalb County Sheriff s Police has about 100 full-time sheriff personnel. It is located in Sycamore, Ill.
