The Seventh-day Adventist Church is known for its ethnic and cultural diversity, and its church in Glen Ellyn is no different, welcoming all who seek a place to worship the Sabbath. In addition, the church offers a variety of ministry programs that provide opportunities for children, teenagers and adults to strengthen their faith, serve their community and support local charitable organizations, such as P.A.D.S. and the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry. In 2010, the church will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the name "Seventh-day Adventist," which was adopted October 1, 1860. The General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists was organized in 1863.
