Community Park is the epicenter of the Lisle Park District, a sprawling 110-acre area full of recreational opportunities for every interest. Short Street runs directly through the park which is filled with open green fields, ponds, and walking trails. Facilities include an indoor fitness center, seven baseball/softball fields, four basketball courts, two football fields, four tennis courts, and three soccer fields. Visitors can picnic at one of three shelters, take advantage of the sled hill during cold months, or enjoy the ramp park designed for both skaters and BMX bikes.
Community Park is also home to Sea Lion Aquatic Park, which is open from early June through September. The park features water slides, a splash playground, multiple pools, a sand play area for young children--even a lap pool for more serious water athletes.
Most of the ball fields and courts are open until 10:30 p.m. daily. The Park District board administrative offices are located in the Community Center, and meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month.
