Saint Joan of Arc Church, which opened its doors in 1927, focuses its efforts on faith formation, liturgy, community outreach and social justice--or as Father Gabriel termed it, "the legs that hold up the community." Its facilities include a library, 24-hour Adoration Chapel, three meeting rooms and rectory, in addition to its large chapel. Combined with Saint Joan of Arc School, the grounds sprawl across an entire village block. Worship services are only a small part of Saint Joan's efforts. They regularly conduct faith education classes and discussion groups, and sometimes host performing artists. In-church volunteers run the library and Sunday nursery for children aged six months to three years. The church hosts over 77 ministries for all ages, serving both its congregation and the local community.
