Whittier School is a learning center that offers a variety of educational opportunities to students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. Its curriculum includes reading, math, social studies, science, language arts, physical education, music and visual arts. The school provides speech -and occupational therapies. Whittier School administers the Title I program, as well as offers nursing and psychology services. The school maintains a parent-teacher organization that serves as a resource for students, parents and staff members. It operates a library and school improvement team. Whittier School is a part of Oak Park District 97, which governs several elementary and middle schools.
