Established in 1991, Reserve Marine Terminals, also known as RMT, acquires, processes and markets different grades of ferrous and nonferrous scrap. The company s processing specialties include several grades of machine and heavy breakable cast iron, blast furnace iron, unprepared torching, shear scrap and irony aluminum. It purchases scrap materials from steel mills, demolition contractors and other scrap dealers, and sells primarily to domestic steel mills and foundries. Reserve Marine Terminals can unload and process scraps that weigh more than 30 tons. The company offers transportation infrastructure and arranges inbound and outbound freight by truck, rail and water. It is an affiliate of Reserve Management Group, which is a family of distinct, but related, businesses involved in recycling, scrap metal processing, material handling, equipment sales and purchasing and property management services. Reserve Marine Terminals maintains its headquarters in Chicago.
