HistoryCelestial Ministries Association was opened in support of children and families of the incarcerated. Stanley the Executive Director/founder was falsely incarcerated and given 9 years. But, God...he served only 2 years after receiving a clemency from the governor. During that time Stanley was incarcerated, his wife was left to support a 6 year old son and she was pregnant with her second son. There were no support/ programs in their community for children and families of the incarcerated. Their son went through a lot while his dad was incarcerated. He didn't understand that his dad don't leave him voluntarily. He saw his friends with their dads and he became rebellious. The Ratliff knew instantly what GOD planted in their hearts was to support children/families of the incarcerated through various programs and projects. The ministries has opened its doors to the children/families of the incarcerated as well as other low income families in the North Lawndale Community.SpecialtiesWe are a music education program working with all children and teens. We specialize in opportunities for low income families as well as children of incarcerated parents. Our programs include education in music theory, composition and lessons in guitar, piano, drumline, strings and a community choir.
