The Philip J. Rock Center and School is operated by the Illinois State Board of Education under Project Reach, a federal grant for programs that serve deaf-blind children and their families. The School offers both residential and day programs for the deaf-blind from three to 21 years in age, and fosters functional skills in vocation, domestic/personal care, leisure and community. The Center serves as a statewide resource for deaf-blind children and adults, their families and teachers, and provides a wide range of services including phone consultations, workshops and visits to both schools and homes.
