History
My great-grandfather was a Sicilian immigrant, a fruitseller. In the town in Ohio where he set up shop in the early 1900s he was the first to sell avocados. At that time, in that place, they called them 'alligator pears'.
Specialties
Local & organic fruits. Exclusive mixtapes and cassette tape releases. Tapes are the fruit of bands. Lots of varieties of pears. Already this year been messin with Packham's Triumph, Abate Fetel, and Durondeau, inter alia. This project has many names: The Fruit Route, The Rolling Breakfast, pomona annvit coeptis, (Pedal-Powered) Produce Party, @FRTCRT, Fruit on Drop. Another aim is to promote synesthetic experiences at street-level retail. Let the tangy nectarines wash against the jangling psychedelic guitars. Fruit and tapes pairings are the new food and wine pairings. In the morning the fruitcart might be found along a commuter bicycle route. At night you might see it on a party block kickin out jams. Or you can have bike messengers bring you fruit. They can bring it on the reg or a special batch for a special occasion. Happy to roll the ole' Rolling Breakfast on down to your place of business as well. Choo choo...
